Dinner Tonight - Pesto Pizza

We often go to a restaurant that makes great Pesto Pizza. For dinner tonight I am trying to replicate it. I made a batch of pizza dough and smeared with pesto and covered with cheese. Serve it with french fries and a salad to make it a complete meal. I am not posting a picture of the finished product because I want it to come straight out of the oven when my husband is ready to eat it. Enjoy!



Pizza Dough

Ingredients

1/4 oz yeast

1 cup warm water

1 tsp. sugar

1/2 tsp. salt

2 Tbs. oil
-
2 1/2 cups flour


Instructions
Dissolve yeast and sugar in water.
Add rest of ingrediants and mix to form dough.
Let stand for 1/2 hour. Roll out and top with cheese and sauce.
Bake on 350 degrees for 25 minutes.

Pesto:
2 cups fresh Basil leaves
1/2 cup pine nuts
4 cloves garlic
1 cup oil
salt
pepper

Blend all together in food processor.
