Dinner Tonight - BBQ Beef Cubes

For dinner tonight I am making BBQ beef cubes with rice pilaf and fandango salad. My brother made this beef recipe up and its awesome!!!! (Thanks Mordy!) The longer you cook it the softer it gets. Hope you enjoy it as much as we do.




Ingredients

3 lbs beef cubes

4 onions -sliced

1 cup ketchup

1 cup duck sauce

1/2 cup bbq sauce

1/4 cup brown sugar


Instructions
Boil beef in large pot with spices (salt, pepper, onion and garlic powder) and water to cover for 2 hours. 
Saute onions until browned. Place in pan with beef cubes.
Mix remaining ingredients together to make a sauce. Pour over beef.
Bake covered for 1-2 hours (the longer the better.)




Fandango salad

Raspberry Dressing:

2/3 cup raspberries - fresh or frozen
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup red wine vinegar
2 tbs minced red onion
1 tbs mustard
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp lemon juice
1 cup olive oil

Blend all together in food processor.

Salad:

1 head romaine lettuce
8 oz mandarin oranges
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
handful of crumbled cheese (bleu, Gorgonzola, feta - if making it dairy)

  1. can this be made with broccoli, also how important is it to boil the beef first?
